I Was Right and It Felt Like Losing by Jay Jeong un Yang

I created a song using Suno titled 'I Was Right and It Felt Like Losing', and the lyrics were inspired by the movie 'The Big Short'.

The artwork featured in the videos was created by me using ChatGPT.

 Lyrics:

Verse 1
They laughed when I whispered, “This will fall,”
Said I worried too much, read too deep
Said the numbers were only numbers
And promises were safe to keep
They poured their glasses full of comfort
Called my caution out of style
I watched the cracks inside the ceiling
And learned to fake a smile

Pre-Chorus
Every chart I tried to show them
Was a language they refused
Truth sounds like noise to people
Who like the lie they choose

Chorus
I was right and it felt like losing
There was no triumph in the proof
I won the bet and lost my faith
In every safety they call truth
They laughed when I said it was breaking
Now they’re searching for someone to blame
Being right never felt this wrong
Never felt this heavy to claim

Verse 2
The day the silence turned to sirens
No one looked me in the eye
The jokes they made behind my back
Just dissolved into “why?”
They asked me how I saw it coming
Like it was some kind of gift
But all I had was sleepless nights
Watching fragile numbers shift

Pre-Chorus
You think that truth will feel like justice
Like the world will finally see
But when the floor gives way beneath them
They’re just looking back at me

Chorus
I was right and it felt like losing
There was no glory in the sound
Of all the careful worlds they built
Collapsing straight into the ground
My silence was louder than their denial
Even when they shut me out
Now every word I tried to warn them with
Is ringing when the lights go out

Bridge
What’s the cost of being honest
When honesty becomes the storm?
When you’re standing in the wreckage
Of the future you foresaw?
I don’t want your recognition
I don’t want to hear my name
I just want to unsee the moment
Where the truth became the flame

Final Chorus
I was right and it felt like losing
Like I signed the end myself
Every warning I kept repeating
Was a blade I couldn’t shelve
They laughed when I said it was breaking
Now they finally understand
But understanding comes too late
When the blood is on our hands

Outro
They say, “You were right.”
Like it’s a victory.
Like I should feel proud.

But the only thing I hear
is the sound of everything
I tried to save
falling anyway.
