The Bond Between Us by Jay Jeong un Yang

I created a song using Suno titled 'The Bond Between Us', and it was made as a gift for Kenton. The lyrics were inspired by the manga 'Slam Dunk' by Takehiko Inoue.

The artwork featured in the videos was created by me using ChatGPT.

  This is the version 1.

   This is the version 2.

 Lyrics:

We started out like strangers
All elbows, pride, and noise
Talking too much, missing shots
Just a bunch of stubborn boys

You called me out, I pushed back
We never did it clean
But somewhere in the back-and-forth
We learned what trust could mean

We argue like it’s breathing
We compete like it’s our name
But when the buzzer cuts the air
We’re standing in the same frame

We’re on the same court now
Running under one light
I fall, you’re already there
Pulling me back into the fight
We don’t say what we mean to say
We just pass and let it show
If you’re there, I won’t back down
That’s the only way I know

We missed more than we ever made
We laughed it off too loud
But every bruise, every late night
Taught us how to stand more proud

You saw me when I wanted out
You didn’t let me fade
You shoved the ball back in my hands
And told me not to be afraid

We never needed perfect words
Just rhythm, sweat, and trust
You throw the pass, I take the shot
Because I know you must

We’re on the same court now
Heartbeat in the floor
Every loss just carved the path
To what we’re fighting for
We’re not heroes, not yet
But we’re still here somehow
Running harder than before
We’re teammates — that’s enough now

And when the crowd has all gone home
And only echoes stay
We sit there in the empty gym
Not ready to walk away

No trophies in this quiet hour
Just trust we never fake
That I would rise a thousand times
With you beside me when I wake
