Stonewater by Jay Jeong un Yang

I created a song using Suno titled 'Stonewater', and the lyrics were inspired by the book 'The Gathering Storm' by Brandon Sanderson & Robert Jordan.

The artwork featured in the videos was created by me using ChatGPT.

Here is version 1.

This is version 2.

Lyrics:

Verse 1
They took my voice and called it mercy
Took my name and dressed me in shame
Taught me silence like a lesson
Tried to make me small and tame
Stone walls counting every moment
Chains disguised as holy law
But beneath the weight of waiting
Something deeper learned to draw

Pre-Chorus
They mistake my calm for weakness
Mistake stillness for defeat
But the deepest kind of power
Never shows beneath their feet

Chorus
You can bind my hands, not my will
You can shape the words I say
But every breath I take is mine
And every thought will stay
Still water breaks the hardest stone
Not by rage, but time and truth
I kneel only in body here
Never in my soul or proof

Verse 2
They demand my head be lowered
Teach my spine to bow in fear
But I gather strength in silence
In the things they cannot hear
Every insult fuels the furnace
Every order sharpens sight
I am learning all their patterns
I am watching in the night

Pre-Chorus
Power isn’t always thunder
Sometimes it’s the steady flame
That survives beneath the ashes
And refuses to go tame

Chorus
You can bind my hands, not my will
You can lock me in this cage
But every moment that I endure
Becomes another page
Still water breaks the oldest stone
Drop by drop and breath by breath
You may command my outer form
But not the truth I’ve kept

Bridge
I will not shatter for your comfort
I will not beg you to be kind
I will become the thing you fear
The patient edge you left behind
Not through force, not through fire
Not by screaming out my name
But by living through your cruelty
Until endurance wins the game

Final Chorus
You can bind my hands, not my will
You can crown me with your shame
But every wound you carve in me
Feeds the strength you cannot claim
Still water breaks the mountain down
By refusing to be moved
I kneel only in body here
But my spirit stands, unruled

Outro
Quiet does not mean I’m empty.
Still does not mean I’m done.
I am the storm you cannot see…
Until I rise.
