A Matter of Worth by Jay Jeong un Yang

I wrote a gay fantasy historical book.

Here is the summary:

A Matter of Worth is a historical fantasy novella about a prince who learns to rule not by force, but by listening. Born with a physical deformity and uninterested in dominance, Crown Prince Yeong-hwa observes the world closely—its hierarchies, its quiet injustices, and the unseen labor that holds a kingdom together. Alongside a thoughtful scribe, two fiercely intelligent princesses, and a distant goddess drawn to human ethics, he helps guide a gradual transformation of law, economy, and belief.

Rather than rebellion or conquest, the story follows reform: schools opened without rank, systems built to reduce harm instead of punish it, and a philosophy that values good work, care, and repair over wealth and spectacle. As gods reconsider power and humans imagine a fairer measure of worth, the kingdom moves toward a future left intentionally open—one where dignity is not bought, goodness is not wasted, and value is defined by what endures.
