Where Nothing Is Owed by Jay Jeong un Yang

I created a song using Suno  titled 'Where Nothing Is Owed', and the lyrics were inspired by the book 'A Psalm for the Wild-Built' by Becky Chambers.

The artwork featured in the videos was created by me using ChatGPT.

 Lyrics:

Verse 1
You wake before the morning
With a list inside your chest
Measuring your breathing
Like it’s some kind of test
Counting all the hours
You didn’t “do” enough
As if the air requires
A reason to be touched

Pre-Chorus
But look how light just finds you
Without a single plea
The sun does not make bargains
It simply lets you be

Chorus
You don’t have to earn the sunlight
It rises all the same
The earth holds you without question
It never asks your name
Being here is reason enough
To take up space and stay
You don’t have to earn the sky
It was always yours anyway

Verse 2
The trees don’t file their branches
For approval from the breeze
The river doesn’t hurry
To justify the seas
No mountain proves its value
By how high it can stand
It simply rests in silence
And still becomes the land

Pre-Chorus
What if you are like that?
Unmeasured and complete
Not a task to finish
But a pulse, a steady beat

Chorus
You don’t have to earn the sunlight
Or prove your worth in sweat
The ground beneath your tired feet
Has not withdrawn you yet
Being here is reason enough
No ledger left to weigh
You don’t have to earn the sky
It does not turn away

Bridge
Lay down the heavy question
Of what you’re “meant” to be
The moss grows soft on fallen logs
Without apology
The wind does not demand
That you deserve its grace
It simply moves around you
And makes a quiet place

Final Chorus
You don’t have to earn the sunlight
Or fight to justify
Your breath is not a contract
Your heart does not comply
Being here is reason enough
To rest without delay
You don’t have to earn the sky
It holds you anyway

Outro
So if you’re tired, be tired
If you’re still, then stay
The sky has never asked you
To be more than today
