I wrote Cowboy bebop fanfiction.
Here is the summary:
A low-pay bounty brings the Bebop to a quiet, conservative colony where everyone knows everyone—and outsiders don’t fit easily. When an innkeeper assumes Jet and Spike are married and offers them the only available room, correcting the mistake turns out to be more trouble than it’s worth.
What starts as a harmless cover quickly becomes convenient. Then comfortable. Then… complicated.
As villagers treat them like a settled couple, Jet and Spike find themselves slipping into the roles a little too well—sharing meals, stories, and small domestic habits that don’t feel entirely like acting. Somewhere between a couple’s discount and a “convincing” public display of affection, the line between cover and truth starts to blur.
It’s just a job. Just a room. Just a story.
So why does it feel harder to drop the act once they leave?
A quiet, character-driven Jet/Spike story about assumptions, familiarity, and the things you don’t bother correcting.
