Longer Than the Mountains by Jay Jeong un Yang

I created a song using Suno titled 'Longer Than the Mountains', and the lyrics were inspired by the book 'Bridge of Birds' by Barry Hughart.

The artwork featured in the videos was created by me using ChatGPT.

 Lyrics:

Verse 1
The river carried seasons
Like silk upon its back
Cities rose and faded
But your shadow did not lack
I walked a thousand lantern roads
Through stories and disguise
Every face a stranger
Still I searched your eyes

Pre-Chorus
They said the heart grows quiet
When years begin to fall
But mine kept your echo
Like a distant call

Chorus
You wore another face, but I knew the soul
Hidden in borrowed days
Time couldn’t teach my heart to forget
Nor silence your ways
I waited longer than the mountains
Longer than the turning sky
Love remembers paths
That time lets wander by

Verse 2
A flute in a market
A laugh across the tea
A moment in the moonlight
Felt too much like you to be
I followed gentle rumors
Through legend, song, and rhyme
Your name was never spoken
Still it lived in time

Pre-Chorus
The wise men spoke of endings
Of letting old dreams fade
But love is a promise
Even ghosts have made

Chorus
You wore another face, but I knew the soul
Across the veils of years
Time couldn’t teach my heart to forget
Nor drown it in tears
I waited longer than the mountains
Longer than the patient sea
Love can hide in silence
But it does not cease to be

Bridge
If fate enjoys its riddles
Let it twist and bend
The heart that truly chooses
Will find its way again
Through lifetimes and stories
Through sorrow and delight
Some loves are lanterns
Still burning in the night

Final Chorus
You wore another face, but I knew the soul
No mask can make it fade
Time couldn’t teach my heart to forget
The vows we never made
I waited longer than the mountains
Yet here you stand with me
Love outlives the years
And remembers what we’ll be

Outro
So if the world remakes us
In forms we don’t recall
The heart will know the footstep
It has loved through all
