Light in a World of Demons by Jay Jeong un Yang

I created a song using Suno titled 'Light in a World of Demons', and the lyrics were inspired by the manga Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba by Koyoharu Gotouge.

The artwork featured in the videos was created by me using ChatGPT.

This is version 1.

This is version 2.

  Lyrics:

Verse 1
The night fell thick with ashes
And silence took my home
Flames wrote their cruel answer
Where laughter used to roam
I stood before the ruin
Too young to understand
Why mercy felt like weakness
In a blood-stained land

Pre-Chorus
They told me, “Close your heart now
If you want to survive”
But something in my chest
Refused to let it die

Chorus
Kindness was my first sword
Before I learned to fight
I learned mercy before I learned to strike
In the dark of night
My heart refused to harden
Though sorrow filled the air
If I must walk through demons
I will still choose to care

Verse 2
I carry every memory
Like lanterns in the cold
Faces lost to shadows
Stories left untold
Each enemy before me
Still trembles, still can cry
And even in their fury
I see a human why

Pre-Chorus
The blade may cut the body
But hatred cuts the soul
I will not lose myself
To make my spirit whole

Chorus
Kindness was my first sword
It guards me even now
I learned mercy before I learned to bow
Or break or disavow
My heart refused to harden
Though grief became my guide
If I must face the darkness
I won’t let love divide

Bridge
Strength is not in cruelty
Nor in a ruthless hand
It’s standing in compassion
When no one understands
The world can turn to monsters
When pain is left alone
But I will be the shelter
Where broken hearts are shown

Final Chorus
Kindness was my first sword
And still it leads my way
I learned mercy before I learned to slay
Or let the hatred stay
My heart refused to harden
Though scars remain in sight
If I must walk through endless night
I’ll carry gentle light

Outro
The sharpest blade is mercy
The bravest heart is kind
Even in a world of demons
I will keep mine
