I wrote a gay fantasy story.
Here is the summary:
Kael
was hired to assassinate the court magician.
He failed.
Not because the target was untouchable, but because Elric was observant, infuriatingly perceptive, and entirely uninterested in behaving like a victim.
As assassination attempts turn into conversations and surveillance turns into reluctant cooperation, the two uncover a deeper conspiracy within the palace—one that benefits from clever men who believe they are in control.
Forced into partnership, Kael and Elric navigate political traps, manipulation, and the uncomfortable realization that trust is far more dangerous than any blade. Between quiet balconies, listening spells, and carefully chosen silences, something shifts: choice replaces obedience, intention replaces instinct, and closeness becomes unavoidable.
This is not a story about fate.
It is a story about two
intelligent men who keep choosing each other anyway.
