Steel Against Steel by Jay Jeong un Yang

I created a song using Suno titled 'Steel Against Steel', and it was made as a gift for Bump of chicken. The lyrics were inspired by the manga 'Slam Dunk' by Takehiko Inoue.

The artwork featured in the videos was created by me using ChatGPT.

Lyrics:

You never cheer when I fall short
You only wait for me to rise
Like every miss I ever made
Was just a language in your eyes

We don’t need words to say a thing
The court is loud enough for both
Your silence cuts sharper than blame
Your presence keeps me standing close

You are the line I have to cross
The height I reach by trying twice
I hate the way you make me weak
I love the way you raise my life

Rivals don’t look away
Rivals stay when it burns
Rivals sharpen the edge
With every lesson learned
You pull the best out of me
Without a hand, without a plea
Just standing there is enough
To make me more than I used to be

You never gave me easy wins
You never let me stay the same
Every time I hear your steps
It sounds like thunder in my name

If I run faster, it’s because
I’m chasing who I was with you
If I still stand when legs give out
It’s only proof this bond is true

Rivals don’t look away
Rivals hold up the flame
Not out of mercy or pride
But because we’re built the same
You don’t have to say you see me
I know it in the way you stay
The truest kind of respect
Is when you never look away
