Here is the summary:

When an unsigned letter lands on Chief Justice Neuvillette’s desk accusing him of being “legally correct, morally vacant,” he’s more offended than he admits—and more intrigued than he should be.

What begins as a battle of anonymous letters turns into something far more intimate: a war of wit, philosophy, and veiled longing. The mysterious critic knows the law as well as Neuvillette himself, and each response only draws them closer.
