When a botched Quickening flings Methos — the oldest Immortal — into the skybound world of Ivalice, he’s ready to write the whole experience off as another bad century. Then he meets Balthier: sky pirate, self-proclaimed leading man, and the most infuriatingly charming thief in the skies.

What begins as reluctant cooperation soon spirals into gunfire, magicite, and far too much flirting at high altitude. Between tea, swordplay, and near-death escapes, the two discover that eternity feels a lot less lonely when someone keeps talking through it.
