Here is the summary:

 

When an immortal swordsman falls through the cracks of the world, he lands in a city that shouldn’t exist — and in the path of one very charming, very impossible man.

Methos, oldest of the Immortals, wakes in London Below after a quickening gone wrong. There are talking rats, murderous velvet assassins, and a man in a tattered coat who introduces himself as the Marquis de Carabas: thief, liar, and occasional savior of fools.

Together, they barter in memories, con minor gods, and argue over whose bad habits are worse. Somewhere between haunted umbrellas, near-death escapes, and too much banter under too little light, they begin to see something familiar in each other — the same exhaustion, the same hunger to keep living no matter the cost.

And when dawn finally touches the Thames, the oldest liar in history finds himself believing in one more trick: love.
